Serai offers an excellent range of Malay, Thai, Western, Fusion and Desserts. It has simple decor, well-lit with clean lines accented with greenery and fresh flowers, makes for a pleasant and comfortable dining experience. Their signature dishes include Serai Platter, Steamed Fish with Lime Sauce, Middle Eastern Medley and Nasi Kerabu. I have ordered one f their signature dessert, which is Pandan Banan Fritters. The banana is deep fried until golden brown and it is very tasty if you dip into their special made syrup. Definitely is one of the Malaysia best dessert. continue reading

This is by far the most genuine taste cake among the rest that I tried. The chunks of actual ore cookies are present at the top of the cake which adds in some crunchiness and also taste to the already tasty cake. This cake is moist but also manage to withstand shock as we weren't very careful with them. The crust is a bit bitter but mix well with the cheese. Overall a delightful cake which I will buy again. continue reading

There were quite a bit of desserts that Serai offers. We wanted to try them all, but the stomach wouldn’t allow it. We finally settled on the pandan banana fritters. The banana fritters’ batter was very light, and hardly had any leftover oil. Four pieces of bananas fried to golden perfection, and the banana itself was ripe and sweet, however, not much pandan taste. There was a small jug of palm sugar served. When eaten with the banana, it was very delicious. A scoop of vanilla ice-cream was part of the set, and it was served on a bed of crushed peanuts. Priced at RM13, it was well worth the amount paid. continue reading

Milky bandung is also a nice drink, this popular malay drink is indeed very delicious. The rose syrup with soda is however too sweet for me, but i do like the flavor of the rose syrup. The rose syrup was very fragrant, and drinking the drinks makes me feel very comforted. Besides the rose syrup, there were also a hint of pandan flavors. The mild pandan flavors actually lingers around in the mouth. continue reading

Nasi Kerabu. The nasi kerabu came with a blue hue rice, grilled chicken, ulam, solok lada, salted egg, keropok and chili paste. The mixed the ulam, chili paste and some seasonings together with the rice, and it tasted really good. No doubt it was slightly salty, but all the aroma and taste worked well together. The grilled chicken was fragrant, albelt slightly overburnt. continue reading
