I didn't know what to order to drink, and the affable waitress suggested that I try their signature Hong Kong Milk Tea. I agreed, and the drink came almost immediately. My first sip tasted wonderful. It was definitely very authentic Hong Kong milk tea. The sweetness was just enough without being overwhelming, and the milk plus tea taste just right. Priced at RM5.50 a glass, it was well worth the amount paid. continue reading

At Empire Subang, we came across a restaurant inside the Jaya Grocer. So we thought we should give it a try. This place is selling Hong Kong style roast duck, roast chicken, roast pork, and honey glazed pork aka "char siu". I always prefer Hong Kong style as they really taste better than our local roast. Ordered the three mix rice and the roast duck dry noodle. The three mix rice consists of roast duck, roast pork and roast chicken. Among all, i must say i like the roast pork most. The roast chicken was average with a bit of tough meat. The roast duck was quite good. Roasted to slightly burnt. Only complain is the duck was quite oily. The duck noodle was not bad either. The noodle was springy. Lightly tossed with some soy sauce and some roast duck's fat dripping down to the noodle, the noodle was quite nice. Honk Kong style chili with lots of chili oil, and the garlic dipping. continue reading
