We did not what to eat after waking up at 1pm on a public holiday. Suddenly, since I wanted to try Coffee Amo, at TTDI, we looked for something to eat nearby and I decided on Peruvie since I have never tried Peruvian food before. The place is as colourful as I have seen in some blogs. There are two cafes owned by the owner, one is called Penang cafe. We ordered a really big jug of non-alcoholic sangria which was made from Apple Cider, lemon and apple slices and not a tinge of reddish alcohol. The whole jug cost RM 19.90 and we opted for that big jug which was more worth the price rather than a single mug for RM 9.90. I do not recommend this if you have less than 5 pax as we had half the jug as balance. The Peruvian Chicken quarter with 2 side dishes cost RM 16.90. My friend had coleslaw and boiled corn as side dishes. The spicy sauce is not spicy at all but way better than my kebab. Luckily this is a chicken drumstick. The 3 sticks of chicken kebab is called Anticuchos (RM 10.90) was too salty for me. I could not finish the other 2 sticks. The chicken was not tender enough and I am not a fan of chicken breast. The Ceviche (RM 12.90) raw fish is touted as the Peruvian national dish. The white fish was very fresh and mixed with a lot of lemon, lime, onions and some chilli. Totally heavenly and it reminded me of the Filipino raw fish dish. The menu is quite limited here so one could only come once in a blue moon. The kitchen is a small pantry at the front of the cafe, near the front door.  continue reading

continue reading

continue reading

This new restaurant is located at TTDI. They serve Peruvian style grilled chicken and other Peruvian cuisine. Oleh kerana perut dan tekak aku x mampu nak digest bende2 pelik, maka aku order grilled chicken jelah senang. They include 2 sidelines. Boleh pilih sama ada nak fries, coleslaw, corn, green salad and potato salad. The price okla around rm15++ per meal. Dessert ada rice pudding. Memang teringin nak makan rice pudding but on that day habis pulak....frust (Rasa ayam2 ni mmg sedap... juicy sangat. Memang tak mengecewakan. Pada aku, boleh lawan Nandos. For me ada 1 kekurangan je, iaitu mashed potato....where is the mashed potato??? Kurang lengkap hidangan ayam aku kalau takda mashed potato (sbb tu kureng sikit dgn nandos, disamping ayam dia yg cinonet)... hehehe continue reading

The name says it all. This restaurant is very popular with Peruvian Grilled Chicken which is the same as what I'm ordering today. I went for early dinner which is around 6.30 p.m. which is good because there wasn't a lot of people yet. I proceed to order their signature Peruvian Grilled Chicken and two side dishes which is garden veggie and potato salad. The grilled chicken was perfectly grilled and with the addition of the sauce makes the whole dish a heaven on earth! Yummy! continue reading
