Its been a while, since I have dine here as I have heard several diarrohea cases caused by certain stalls here.Anyway, I decided to try something new today, i.e Tom Yam Noodles (RM 6). I prayed hard I will be fine after consuming the food, simply because I don't want to spend the rest of my day inside the toilet. Fast forward to after eating the entire bowl, I would like to thank God because the food was clean! The Tom Yam noodle was quite yummy. The aroma was there; the more i smell it, the more I would like to eat. There were a lot lemongrass in the noodle, which made it quite diificult to eat because the noodles were tangled around the lemongrass. continue reading

So far for the past 2 years, this stall still remain as my favourite stall for wet panmee. Not the typical chili pan mee but something different. This is the dry ones. You can order this instead if you don't like to drink soup. Something normal compared to chili pan mee but it's still quite nice for me.This wet pan mee is my favourite ones. Definitely must eat it along with the chili. pan mee served with hot soup will be perfect during rainy days. continue reading

Pop culture of Korea has definitely played a very important role in the Korean wave as more people are getting to know more about the country, the culture and the tradition of Korea. In the culinary scene, things aren’t any different. With K-pop getting bigger, more people acquiring the flavour of Korea. With these overwhelming responses which are evident with the amount of Korean BBQ restaurants around us, even food courts are serving Korean BBQ.Situated at the Rock Café in Sunway (across the Sunway International School) the place is within walking distance, very much favourable to the Korean students enrolled in the school or college. The stall also delivers a good range of authentic Korean stews and noodles. When having Korean BBQ, it is common to visit the Korean restaurants with grilling stove and ventilator but doing Korean BBQ at a food court was the first for me.The portion served did not fall short from the usual that is served in a Korean restaurant. In fact, there is more meat to compensate the lack of side dishes served. As a matter of fact the plump slices of fresh pork serve 2 pax and cost RM 17 each with one kimchi each.Instead of the usual leaf lettuce, iceberg lettuce is served as salad leaves to accompany the BBQ pork. With charcoal free and the absence of grill stove, portable gas stove is used instead. With a tray covered with aluminum foil, we are ready to cook our meat at semi open air with some nice breeze if lucky. The aroma of grilled meats wafting through the night breeze is very calmingly enjoyable. Almost like street food in Korea without the tents. The misconception of many is that the BBQ restaurants are all over everywhere in Korea. That is erroneous as the highest number of restaurants is probably fusion cafes. We probably have more here when comparing the restaurant ratios to distances compared to it in Korea itself. The best BBQ restaurant has yet to prevail but this certainly isn’t one. continue reading

This stall is one of the most famous among college students (Sunway/Monash). It came with hand torn pan mee (default type made by them but you can always request for a change to thick pan mee), mushrooms, minced chicken (instead of pork), anchovies and potato leaves. The noodles are really smooth and nicely cooked till al-dente texture. Soup has a nice flavour, with the quite well seasoned minced chicken. The homemade chilli sauce here is to die for, as this is the best I have tried so far. Be careful of how much you put as it can be really spicy. You can squeeze some limau juice on it too, as half a lime is provided on top of the chilli. continue reading
