I’m here again for another lunch set! I had the Chicken Katsu Lunch Set this time and it was really good. The only strange thing is that this is the second time that the chawanmushi (steamed egg custard) came last and my table only had 5 people compared to 18 previously. But at least it was fresh I guess. The lunch sets here are from the same range as the dinner menu. Only difference is that each meal is priced lower by about RM3 or more.I started with my appetizer were some potato-like radish marinated in miso again. It was a good starter and palette cleanser for the rest of the meal. The miso soup was pretty good as it had a lot of wakame (Japanese seaweed) and mushrooms inside. My Chicken Katsu was pretty big and needless to say, I couldn’t finish it. The breading was really tasty with lots of flavour from the dashi. The egg that was cooked was mixed well and was big enough to cover the chicken which is my favorite part of the meal! Overall, the chicken was really tender throughout the meal and didn’t dry out. By the time my Chawanmushi came at the near end of my meal, I was only able to finish the half of it. So, it’s a pretty big meal overall. I finished off my meal with papayas and watermelons served with my set. continue reading
