It was the weekend again. Since Chinese New Year is around the corner, we brought grandma to Sungai Buloh for some new year shopping. It is always the tradition for the family to shop for new plants and flowers to decorate our home when CNY is around the corner. There were so many flower and plants nurseries to choose from, some even decorated their shop with all kinds of new year decorations. Everyone is feeling the happy vibes already!After that we passed by the famous hot plate Pau stall. We heard good reviews about it from our relative who claimed that it is a Hakka traditional snack. Since we were nearby, we drop by to takeaway some for tea time.There were a few choices of fillings to choose from, we bought the peanut, red bean and cononut filling ones. It was so so good, best eaten when it is still piping hot. The Pau was kind of chewy on the inside and it smells so fragrant. It wasn't too soft, but the filling was a bit of a let-down though as we expected much more thicker fillings. Mom even made a comment that the texture resembles that of the cranberry cream cheese pastries we always get from Tous Les Jours/The Loaf.In my opinion, both is equally good!
