Berasap telinga! Yes! Ini sambal belacan dan cili kicap yang terpedas kat sini! Memang berpeluhlah kalau makan. Rasanya memang kaw kaw punya. Biasanya cili kicap ni dimakan bersama Ayam Pandan dan Otak-Otak dan sambal belacan pula dimakan bersama Nasi Goreng Nenas. Kalau tak silap untuk dua menu hidangan sampingan ni tak dikenakan bayaran oleh pihak restoran. Hanya sebagai penambah selera continue reading

Fried Pineapple RiceI really do love pineapple rice, and I was craving so much for it ever since I had it the last time (which was few months ago sigh) so I was having bad cravings for this already! And also because I always (almost) require rice with my meals, so I started gobbling down the pineapple rice as soon as it was served. To my dismay, the fried rice was cooked really damp and moist. The flavors were lacking badly because I couldn't taste any significant tangy pineapple flavor The diced pineapples were also practically inevident here. Maybe they should've serve this in a half-sliced pineapple instead, which enhances the overall flavors. continue reading

Thai version of cendol. Not really what I like. Don't get me wrong, I love cendol. I would drive all the way to Melaka just to have Durian Cendol, but this wasn't good enough. The brown Malaccan sugar wasn't aromatic enough, the ice were pretty normal, the milkiness wasn't there, only the green cendol jelly was alright. Overall, didn't really enjoy it. But its a good way to cool your stomach down after all that spiciness. continue reading

Thap Thim KrobThe dessert comes just in time especially after some fiery and sour indulgence of Thai cuisine earlier on. This pinkish ball dessert is named as Thap Thim Krob in Thai or rather widely known as Red Ruby dessert. I would always call for this round up after every meal when it comes to dining at Thai restaurant. The rubies are not only delightful to the eyes, but also to the taste bud as they are really crunchy and chewy on the pinkish layer outside. It is actually made of water chestnut that are lightly boiled in a hot bath of tapioca mixture before drenched quickly in some edible colour. I suppose this is easier said than done There are also some fragrant jackfruit strips to add some spice to this toothsome dessert continue reading

Tom Yam Kung | RM27 for small and RM42 for largeNothing fancy, nothing to shout about. It has the tom yum taste but again without the kick. The tom yum is more to the milky but not too heavy on the taste. It wasn't too spicy so it was still okay. There was quite a variety of seafood in the soup, which I would say compensated for the lack of oomph I was expecting for. continue reading
