ah definitely one of those places to look out for a sunday brunch or teatime!so much of cake choices here and we went for the Mars Bar cheesecake,Nutella Mille Crepe cake, Earl Grey chiffon and Popcorn Caramel on cheesecake with muesli and walnuts and a cuppa of Ona Coffee's Black Betty blend on the flat white 😋Absolute favourite would be the Mars Bar Cheesecake and the Nutella Mille Crepe! Not forgetting a bowl of truffle fries with pecorino cheese sauce. Really love the Cheese sauce but can be a bit more generous with the truffle oil for the fries.  continue reading

Went there twice, tried the brunch and pancakes, and it never fails to impress me. The portion for the breakfast was okay, just nice for a girl. My friends and I had a really great time. However, I would recommend sitting at the outdoor area, if it's a cooling evening, as it was kinda noisy upstairs due to the echoes. Below are some of the photos we took: continue reading

Finally got the chance to catch up with my best friend over some good comfort food! We plan to have lunch at a cafe and she recommended Yellow Brick Road, so we just went for it. Just next to Ben’s Departmental Store, I had good vibes about this cafe upon entering the cafe. There were 2 floors, and since the first floor was already full with people even though it was only 11.30 pm, they opened up the second floor for us!The cafe was really nicely decorated, they even had a corner for the kids to play where those children books and mini tent were displayed. This cafe offered a variety of food, from salads to pancakes! We both ordered the Eggs Norwegian which was poached eggs on potato rosti, served with smoked salmon, avocado mash topped with passionfruit hollandaise sauce. The combination of the poached eggs with with potato rosti and avocado mash mash was pure genius! All the elements went really well together. No doubt salmon complements any food well, and this dish wasn’t an exception. The passionfruit however was abit weird, this was my first time having passion fruit in my hollandaise sauce. Nevertheless, the dish was really delicious and I couldn’t finish my food for the first time because the portion was really big! Considering RM23 before tax for such a huge dish, it was definitely worth the money! continue reading

I believe you have been seeing the Facebook post about this restaurant recently. In fact, I have no idea what so famous about this restaurant. However, I just go ahead to try it.It was Friday lunch hour, the restaurant was full and I have queue up for 10mins for table. Not only this restaurant, it’s same goes to other restaurant in this compound.I wanted to eat spaghetti today but the server informed me that the only spaghetti dish was sold out. Therefore, I have Balik Kampung and Cottage Pie for main course and Minimalist for dessert. We waited for about 20mins in order our foods to be served. Balik Kampung (RM22), is a Asian delight rice set consist of Percik Drumstick, Fragrant Rice, Egg and Thai style Mango salad. Percik drumstick was served hot, coated with flavourful aroma sauce but not spicy at all. I like the Thai Style Mango salad, sourish and really appetizing.Beef Rendang Cottage Pie (RM22) was freshly baked out from the oven, is burning hot upon serving. You have to be careful as the serving pot is hot. I have scrapped aside the smashed potato to have a closer look at the Rendang mince meat. The mince meat was less spicy, however, it was very flavourful with very good aroma of curry. Best eat with the toast! In fact, I would like to order their signature pancake “I wanna be Kaya” but it looks too heavy for us after finish the main course. Thus, Miimalist (RM14) aka pancake which is more suitable now. This is very simple pancake served with butter and maple syrup. Light and fluffy pancake which is on my liking. This is good!Overall foods are good, but the portion is a bit huge for ladies. We managed to finish half of the portion only.  continue reading
