After my fiance inform me about Teochew Chendul opening an outlet at Paradigm Mall, we decided to give it a go. They shop was so pack that we had to come back 2 times to check on the seats availability. We had the signature chendul. It was serve in a paper bowl with droplets of condensation from the ice within. With much anticipation, I had my first mouthful. It gets better as I dig deeper, where the gula melaka starts to mix in. However, I was quite disappointed as this chendul was not up to my expectation after much anticipation.

For one, the gula melaka was not as fragrant as it should be. And the strips of chendul was quite bland. It should be milkier and richer. I could be biased towards the original one because it was served under the hot sun and a bowl of ice cool chendul was all it matters. But all in all, it was a good bowl of chendul, just not as great as the pioneer one at Lebuh Keng Kwee.
