The pasta in Bad Boy Cooks can pretty much be personalised, as they have quite a fair bit of choice. Between spaghetti and penne, mother-in-law chose spaghetti. There is a choice of arrabiata, al funghi, al formaggi or two peppercorns as the sauce base. Since mother-in-law is a tomato fan, she took the arrabiata, though she was slightly apprehensive as the menu reads as spicy tomato base sauce with olives and chilli. However, her fears were unfounded as the dish was really nice. The spaghetti, though cooked until slightly softer than usual, was quite nice. The tomato base was slightly sour, with a hint of spiciness that complements the dish well. Topped with some cheese powder, the dish doesn't have any other condiments other than the pasta and sauce, however, there is a myriad of add-ons to suit any tastes. A choice of prawns, fish baton, scallopini, beef bacon, chilli beef, mushrooms, corn, egg and cheese can be added for a price tag of between RM1 to RM5. Mother-in-law chose corn, which essentially tasted like corn in a cup. Slightly buttered and salted, it complemented the spaghetti arrabiata well. Definitely recommended.
