The most important characteristic in lamb, if you ask me, would be its tenderness. In this regard, Out of Africa excelled - the meat falls off the bone, but the flesh isn't overly soft that it feels like a bunch of mush. While the overall flavour was pleasant, it seemed to lack a little something and tasted very one-dimensional - and it was immediately glaringly obvious. It tasted saltier than it tasted anything else. Not a bad lamb, but not a great lamb.Oh well, the fries were hot and plentiful

Oh well, the fries were hot and plentiful, and the buttered wilted spinach was delightfully aromatic and easy to eat. Steam carrots didn't seem to belong there (they should be braised/stewed with the lamb) though.
