Had a farewell dinner at Espression8 for my friend who will be going abroad to further her studies. The café was crowded with customers during dinner time. Had a farewell dinner at Espression8 for my friend who will be going abroad to further her studies. The café was crowded with customers during dinner time. We ordered several pastas and 1 main.

The pastas we ordered were as follow:-
1. Spaghetti Squid Ink & Oslo Smoked Salmon RM 17.90
The kitchen ran out of Spaghetti Squid Ink, so they told us they were going to replace a different kind of spaghetti. However, we were not informed that they will be serving us Aglio Olio instead. It was a surprise to us. Luckily, my friend who ordered this has no problem with Aglio Olio. Otherwise, we would have complained.

2. Spaghetti Seafood Creamy RM 16.90
This pasta is very filling as the spaghetti was very rich with cream. It is also very spicy; my friend had to keep drinking water as it was too spicy for her. The portion of the seafood given was very generous.

3. Spaghetti Aglio Olio Seafood RM 15.90
Similar to the Seafood Creamy, the portion of seafood given is very dry. My friend requested the pasta to be less spicy and we are glad that chef manage to comply with her request.

I ordered Grilled Chicken Chop RM 15.90. This main came with a choice of add-on of butter rice for RM1.50, which I did not opt for. The chicken given was very dry; I had to request for another bowl of gravy to try to overcome the dryness. The portion given was reasonable, but I would prefer it to be less thick and it was quite difficult for me to cut.

Besides those, we ordered two cups of beverages, namely Iced Mocha RM 10 and Bonsai Coffee RM 11. The Iced Mocha tasted normal, there is nothing special about it besides the cup used to serve it. The shape of the cup made the drink looked quite cute.

As for the Bonsai Coffee, it looked like mini plant-how adorable! We ordered Bonsai Coffee, but the waiter mistakenly served us Bonsai Chocolate instead. Nevertheless, it still tasted great. The ‘soil’ used was Oreo crumbs.
