Steam fish, fishy. Vege paku, old. Green curry chicken, could be better. Tomyam soup, dessert ruby and mango sticky rice, nice. Overall, I have no sense of satisfaction to this meal.

Till now, after trying several thai restaurants around PJ area, I and many PJ residents are adamant that Elephant Thai serves one of the best Thai food in many varieties.We came her at 11.50 am for an early lunch with Singaporean colleagues as there is another meeting later. We ordered at least 5 dishes whereby the bill came up to about RM 160.I think they are one of the only Thai restaurants that serve brown rice which makes it very healthy to eat here.Pomelo Salad The price is less than RM 20 and yet there are so much pomelo inside served with fried shallots, spring onions, a lot of peanuts and a few prawns. The tangy feel makes it a great appetizer.Green Curry Chicken Am I allowed to repeat the word "one of the best" again? Anyway, people should never be stingy with praises. The chicken is tender whereas the curry has enough flavour and spice without tasting like we have just poured a lot of milk or santan inside that would have diluted it. Luckily it didn't end up tasting like the super creamy green curry chicken I had in Chiang Mai.Tomyam Seafood When the tomyam came, I almost fainted looking at the sheer size of the large bowl! It was kind of my first time seeing such a large bowl of tomyam containing seafood inside with big prawns. octopus, fish and thai green beans.Paku-PakisIf I were not mistaken, this costs RM 16.90. The paku-pakis were fresh, raw and deliciously cooked with belacan.Deep-fried Squid The squid was done just right and goes well with sweet Thai chilli. My friend and I were looking around in Section 17, then we decided to try My Elephant.I heard about it for a long time and I always want to give a try, but only got the chance to step in the restaurant last week.We reached there about 6pm. Seems like they had a lot of bookings, therefore we promised the waiter to finish our dinner before 7pm.The food served in 10 minutes time after we placed our order. I strongly recommend Pandan Cooler, it definitely worth a try. The chill, aromatic and not overly sweet drink surprised me. I like the pandan taste, it's super cooling and refreshing. Tom Yum is a must in a Thai restaurant. We ordered Tom Yum seafood for 2 pax, costed RM22. It mix with aromatic fresh Thai herbs, the sour and spicy taste match perfectly. It is so addictive. Thumbs up!Then we have our favourite fried stuff, Gai Tod Gratiam Prik Thai. The cripy chicken is tender, and it doesn't feel greasy or heavy at all. It match well with the fried garlic, really awesome.I'm a fan for mango sticky rice, therefore I insist to order this dessert. But it taste so so only, I still prefer the combination of salty and sweet taste that I try in Thailand.

Tomyam soup + rice lunch set from My elephant. It is just RM 11.90 including a pandan drink, tomyam soup, salad, brown rice and a slide of watermelon. The tomyam is not like common one. It also tastes sour and spicy. But there is a herb inside makes it quite special. It is Nice! There is prawn, sotong and small meats inside. Very worthy!

My Elephant Thai Restaurant is another good place to find thai food and here i can enjoy many thai cuisines in the menu and i find that their salad is simple and yet nice serving of the big and crispy keropok. good place to come here and nice place to chill out here just to sit down and enjoy the salad with your loved ones. service is good too and i enjoy the dinner here with my family
