It was a pleasure excursion into the area of Hulu Langat in search of nice authentic Thai food. Although it was on a weekday, this gastronomical journey somehow spiced up the mundane working day as we were anticipating the clocking off time from desk! If you’re not familiar with this area, you might be confused by the lush surrounding as the restaurant is located further from the main road. The dark night and lack of street lights don’t really help either. Lucky thing was the friend had patronized the place before, so we reached finally albeit a little bit of uncertainty earlier of the winding roads, haha

The restaurant was spacious and dimly lit with colourful light bulbs. Having a pond in the middle where they rare their fresh catch, the place is also decorated with huts and wooden bars that provide some elements akin to the origin country. Fishes were huge, swimming freely in the pond.

The very one thing that I would like share is the Tody drink.

I find it interesting as I never knew that is such alcoholic drink made from coconut! So I heed my friend’s suggestion to give it a try. Not too bad, although am not a drinker, but it’s not that bad either as it has the mild sweetness of floral scent. It also reminds me of Soju

Our meals were served pretty fast upon our order. First to arrive was Pineapple Fried Rice.

Its yellowish grains with raisins was very inviting indeed. The seemingly big rice grain was actually soft as you dip into them and fragrant as well. The added nuts and raisins had enriched its aroma in the chunky way in some fruity sweetness. This combination of spices does resemble those Biryani rice of Middle Eastern cuisine.

Soon to ensue was this Crab in Curry Powder.

The gravy was finger-licking good! Haha. I think the main contributor to this tasty gravy was the crab roe, which helps to thicken the sauce. The crab itself was awesomely fresh with some chopped onion leaves added, except for its small portion which don’t really look to weight like 1 kg ~.~
