We went here for a 2-1 for deal during the typhoon. What we were met with was a worker who was a total Bufffoon. of course 2-1 for deals on public holidays isn’t expected. But we were told that the night before isn’t counted as well. This is pure false advertisement as you can see from the flyer. The staff wasn’t even considerate when asked to explain it in a logical manner they proceeded to look dumbfounded and tell us to find another restaurant. continue reading

Diavola Pizza -$160Craby Fettuccine -$160Chicken Strips Salad -$120 continue reading

piccolo resto, very surprise when u walk in. a excellent dim area with vintage decoration make u feels like walked into old 70s italy.when u look straight into the kitchen. u can see a surprisingly hugh oven made with bricks. that ancient oven keep the same recope of the 1890s cooking method. the chef insist to keep the super high temperature inside to bake the pizza until the perfect crispy with little slightly over-cooked dark surface. that added a burn flavor to the pizza.plus, there are several new cross over pizza u cant taste elsewhere, bacon honey pizza and tamagochi pizza. former one is superb for children appetite, just like me, sweet honey can make u fall in love with the pizza once again. tamagochi is a japanese style pizza just like the 大餅燒 pizza version, thats quite interesting and i didnt try, cant tell u what its taste like.monday to thursday due to wuhan virus discount, there is 1buy 1 free thats mean u can try their food with 50%off. pasta is fair, nothing special. if u come on friday u , avg price is 150+$ for one dish. it a bit over-priced. slightly 對不起天地良心。#food #hkfood #delicious #yummy #dirty #smelly #vomit #digestion #sick #ill #igfood #foodig #hkfoodpoet #閃電五連鞭 continue reading

I’m a regular customer to Piccolo as I live next door at the Merton. In fact I have been going there since the owner Randy first opened shop in kennedy town ten years ago. Had a disappointing meal there last week. Brought my kids, my wife and my in laws to the restaurant for lunch. My kids loved to see the chef making pizza so we asked if we can sit near to the kitchen window. The HKer manager eruptedly said “no you cannot”We were the first customer there so my wife politely asked if the window table was booked. The manager was extremely rude and he replied “didn’t you hear? It was booked. You cannot have it”Is that the attitude to react to your first group of customer of the day?We ordered a bunch of food:Caprese saladTropiccolo pizzaHoney bacon pizza Meat lover pizza Pasta aglio olioFood was great as usualMy in law asked one of the young waitors for a glass of water. He went to consult the Canto manager. We clearly heard him saying “they didn’t want to order drinks, just give them one glass of water for the whole table”. Is that the attitude to serve customers who ask for tape water? We were not underspending. We spent 800hkd for lunch!Piccolo is a restaurant we used to love. But it is hugely let down by a ill mannered manager. continue reading
