Been to a few Black Sheep Restaurants, hitting this thai place for the first time.Was a dynamic experience.The green papaya salad was definitely appetizing yet a bit too spicy for no-spicy food eaters.The kick was real.The long beans were a bit too raw, the green taste was bold.A mouthful of papaya, long bean, dried shrimp and peanut together created the colorful texture.The chicken satay itself can't do anythimg great, with the coconut milk, red curry and peanut sauce, that's really something!The beef brisket in curry with some spices will give you a second kick in the meal.Luckily the dish came with pineapple and coconut cream that calm your tongue a little bit.Better have this thai milk tea on your table to walk alongside with you through the meal, that's just pure magic. Loved it.Conpleting the meal with this coconut icecream was the best idea. Another black series ticked off my list, 5 dishes and a dessert shared between 2 people for $198+10% service really is a bargain! The curry was pretty good, honestly can’t go wrong with one of my favourite veg tung choi (morning glory) and lastly the coconut ice cream was perfect for the finishing blow heh! I really do think these menus give a true taster of all the best dishes making it super affordable for a tummy full of food! continue reading

我係經OpenRice訂咗食晏㗎,明明OpenRice係寫住訂座優惠「訂座Soul Food Thai午餐即可免費獲得招牌特飲一杯」,個店員介紹Thai Iced Tea,咁我咪叫杯試吓囉,結果佢收咗我杯Thai Iced Tea嘅錢。另外我叫咗Pad Thai Goong,都有四隻大蝦嘅,味道真係好普通,但唔算特別,而且擺盤好唔吸引。碟Pad Thai係好細份,個餐牌嘅選擇好少。侍應們係好有禮親切嘅!Anyway…冇下次。 continue reading

由朋友介紹,專程到這餐廳試一試。餐廳的裝修簡約,帶一點現代氣息。這兒不設午餐,只有散點。Crab fried rice$148蟹肉炒飯炒到幾乾身,飯粒粒粒分明,雖然唔覺得有蟹肉,或蟹肉份量比較少,配料亦比較少,味道比較淡。Drunkard’s noodle $168這炒河粉鑊氣十足,配料是魷魚、粟米心、菜心和蝦,是泰式魚露配辣椒的味道,雖然點小辣,但仍然辣到冒汗,真的吃不下,然而味道是不錯。Stir fried morning glory$78這炒通菜炒得很香,通菜嫩囗,加上醬汁充滿馬拉盞風味,微微的辣,很惹味可口。Mango sticky rice $78這芒果糯米飯個子的骰,糯米飯比較硬身乾爽,有少少米香,沾上濃口的椰汁,再加上香甜嘅芒果,味道對板。Thai iced tea$48這泰式冰奶茶十分冰涼,茶膽很香,完全不澀,香甜又冰凍,正好解辣。這一餐沒有預期的驚喜,然而環境是寧靜 continue reading

上個月,跟工作忙碌的好姊妹出來食晚飯輕鬆一吓! 知她喜歡走到中環食飯,又方便上環返工的我!自從新冠肺炎疫情後,很久沒有踏足蘇豪區!發現中環蘇豪伊利近街這一帶,有 4成店舖已結業, 尚有營業的餐廳酒吧反而生意不錯! 經過見到有間泰式餐廳 Soul Food Thai,格局及氣氛看來也不錯,我們便決定這間!  7:00 前入座,天尚未黑,女店員讓我們自由選擇桌子,我則選擇採光度足、近落地玻璃窗那張餐桌!當晚,這裡的生意很好,9:00 後,臨走見到全場 full!外籍女店員熱情有禮招待,尤其似是女餐廳經理!供應泰式美食價錢合理,我們總是心大心細!外籍女店員建議我們可選擇 Chef menu, 可因應食客的個人喜好口味而烹調適合口味的菜式!啱哂選擇困難症嘅食客呢!同時,又會調配份量,可減低廚餘造成浪費,一舉兩得!Mineral water $58MenuChef menu $268/ 位包括:小食、沙律、飯/ 麵、蔬菜、甜品既豐富又划算!香辣木瓜沙律少辣對我來說尚可接受,她認為辣了一點!略帶煙韌青爽的青木瓜絲配香脆的烤花生好開胃、還有鹹鮮的蝦米!沙爹雞肉軟嫩的雞肉,甜美香辣的沙爹汁提味!炸雞翼十分香脆惹味,保持肉汁,蘸上甜酸辣醬,別有一番滋味!軟殼蟹炒金邊粉軟殼蟹炸至金黃香脆,金邊粉炒得乾身又香口,可加上碟邊的新鮮芽菜及花生碎,增添口感及香脆!咖哩雞配泰國茉莉香米 黃咖哩汁混合椰漿,中和其辣度,甜辣容易入口, 白飯挺乾身,略嫌乾了些少,顯得有點硬!炒通菜簡單以香蒜及辣椒調味,炒得有鑊氣又惹味!椰子雪糕泰式椰子雪糕淋上香甜的椰糖及花生碎,增添口感!芒果糯米飯新鮮甜美多汁的芒果,配上煙韌帶椰香的糯米飯,簡單而美味!設加一服務費 continue reading
