What is soup curry?

It is actually nothing like the traditional Japanese curry/Thai/Indian curry, but a light and runny soup based curry. Sapporo is located up north therefore its diet contains lots of carb! (Don't worry ladies, chef himself lost a lot of weight eating this! Moderation is key!)

Signature Dish

Seafood combo in Crab soup or their daily chef selection, which was shrimp soup and Omakase tuna on the day we visited. Do not forget about their dessert! They do have a few pretty outstanding sweet treat after your hot meal, including their signature runny mango pudding topped with rich sweet potato cream, sounds interesting isn't it?

Warm turmeric rice

We have tried almost every type of curry on the menu, and all of them comes with a warm bowl of turmeric rice. We almost mistaken the rice as Indian cuisine but then found that turmeric and high carb diet is actually quite common in the up north cold area, Sapporo.

Our favourite was the daily special Omakase seared tuna with shrimp soup! The fish was fresh and tender while the soup was even richer than the crab soup base! Yummy!

Samurai gyoza

Apart from the heartwarming curry soup, their side dishes were not to be missed also! The spicy wasabi potato salad was quite special and you should definitely try to make that at home. The pumpkin salad was healthy and simple, nothing is better than raw ingredient right? The most surprising bite was their Samurai gyoza, it was crispy and so packed with pork meat. It is not oily and the meat inside was well blended.

Iced chai lassi

Their drinks were out of our expectation also especially their chai lassi and their infused cold Japanese tea. We have never tried chai lassi before as well as their 24-hour overnight infused tea. It is worth a try!

Matcha parfait with puff and rich cream

They do have a few nice selections of dessert and our favourite was surprisingly their espresso parfait and matcha parfait because the homemade ice cream was nicely done and sweetened.
