We ate our dinner buffet here with our room credits. The dinner buffet lasts from 6-10pm so plenty of time to enjoy their selection of dinner and desserts. The selection was not extreme but still had quite a choose. They had various meats and seafood (oyster, lobster, clams, shrimp) and even had various meat carvings such as the suckling pork, pork knuckle, prime rib, lamb racks, peking duck and even a live foie gras cooking station! The selection was not extreme but still had quite a choose. They had various meats and seafood (oyster, lobster, clams, shrimp) and even had various meat carvings such as the suckling pork, pork knuckle, prime rib, lamb racks, peking duck and even a live foie gras cooking station!
Dishes I tried:
Green chicken curry - Very tender and soft chicken in a mildly spicy green curry. Definitely recommend as I had seconds of that too.😅
Braised beef in red wine sauce - Very soft and tender beef in a delicious tomato red wine sauce.
Chicken satay skewers - Very smoky flavor and I got to watch them flame it. Although it was reheated via open flame, it was not dry or tough at
Chicken wings - Cooked with the satay chicken skewers and very very tender with a crispy skin and the chicken oil inside bursts when you bite into it.
Lamb rack - Good portion of 2-3 bites and very tender, my very blunt knife sliced through it with ease and the lamb taste was very strong. Impressive.
Pork knuckle - sliced in front of my eyes and heard the crispy pork skin being cut. The meat itself was very soft and tender (I’m using these two words a lot but it’s all true) and the balance between the fat layer with the meat layer and the crispy skin is indescribable.
Peking duck - They served this with mini pancakes and the traditional sides of peking duck. The duck itself was so tender albeit a bit dry after all the chewing. But very impressive for a hotel buffet, as is all the other meat craving stations.
Stewed beef brisket with turnips - The braised red wine beef was definitely softer and more easily pulled apart but this flavour is very nostalgic as I used to eat this with my family every week for dinner. The beef brisket was very big in size and some were very tender but not all.
Salmon, tuna sashimi - The tuna sashimi was disappointing as it was very tough and filled with water. The salmon sashimi was very delicious tough, the person also gave me quite a lot and all of them are soft and high quality sashimi.
Baked barramundi - This was definitely one of my favorite dishes (I ate 3 pieces😅) The fish was flaky and soft but still firm and filled with flavor.
If you are planning to eat here I recommend trying everything as it is all so delicious, although the price is staggering so use your room credits! But I hear this is the same place you get the breakfast buffet so I will write another review on the breakfast one!
