Happy mid-autumn festival! 🌝 I have quite a lot of friends that became vegans these days because they want to protect the environment and save animals. Apart from that, some people are lactose intolerant. Vegan mooncakes allow such people to also enjoy the festive dessert with friends and family. Le Fromage by Ma’s Vegan Custard Mooncake Trio includes mooncakes in three flavours - original, green tea and earl grey. Of course, one could imagine vegan custard mooncakes would not taste the same as the traditional ones. Nevertheless, Le Fromage by Ma’s green tea and earl grey mooncakes taste nice and unique in their own way. I like the fragrant smell of tea and it blends well with the not-too-sweet custard inside. Monk fruit sugar is actually used so people with diabetes can also try out the mooncakes. Presentation-wise, the mooncakes come in a lovely paper box in white and gold colours. Definitely decent enough for gifting. 👍🏻Le Fromage by Ma🏠 Address: Shop 21, B2/F, K11 Musea, 18 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui#foodiehk #hkfoodie #foodie #香港美食 #foodporn #foodphotography #foodblogger #hkfoodpic #hkfoodinstagram #foodlover #foodstagram 繼續閱讀

I got myself my first piece of vegan cheese at Le Fromage by Ma at K11 Musea.  Brie: pink peppercorn vegan cheese is a beige cheese base with a layer of red berries-like peppercorn on the top. It would definitely add a bit more feeling of Christmas to your party platter.Vegan cheese, you might be wondering how could cheese be vegan. Yes, they are dairy-free, and all made of cashew / almond! So, they are still rich in protein and vitamins/minerals when compared to the ‘regular’ cheese; and they add probiotics in the process.  For the Brie with Pink Peppercorn that I bought, lemon juice, pink peppercorn, Himalayan pink salt and coconut oil are also listed in their ingredient list.As there are probiotics in the cheese, it has to be fridged like any regular cheese.  But please allow about 10-15 minutes of de-freezing before you eat, to give the best creamy texture for pleasure. The vegan cheese tastes very good, and personally I love sour flavor very much.  And I lovehaving some crunchy peppercorns in each spread on my bread / biscuit. It is really a brilliant idea to come up with this peppercorn one.Their packaging with the little wood box and hemp strings, which well matches with their brand image and also the concept of nature and green - the spirit of raw veganism.  Veganism is no longer something new nor is novelty in HK, yet Le Fromage by Ma is the first shop selling 100% plant-basedcheese in HK.  Their cheese are all handcrafted by the Chef Tina Barrat, the HK-based French raw-food maestro, and her team.  It is good to see to have more choices of vegan food in these years, especially they are becoming tastier.  (Brie: pink peppercorn vegan cheese is sold at $150 for the mini size of 190g; $250 for the whole of 380g.). 繼續閱讀
