Every one has heard of Lab Made. Ice cream made with liquid nitrogen. You ooh...you ahh....You wave your hands like a cackling witch as the smoke runs all over the place. It's now so popular, they've opened shops all over Hong Kong. And perhaps due to expansion every where, the original Tai Hang branch is now eerily quiet.I came and there was no line. The current menu is Christmas based. I decided on the eggnog one for $44. Apparently, the eggnog one is in collaboration with Clot, the men's street fashion brand that is started by Edison Chan.
The eggnog ice cream came with a gingerbread man. I was expecting the gingerbread man's hand to be in the shape of a "C" as that is Clot's signature branding in all their dolls, but this was not done. I don't know what part of Clot designed?

Anyways...the ice cream was smooth and creamy. However, it tasted like egg custard and less like eggnog as there was a lack of flavors from spices like nutmeg. The cookie was crunchy and there was a crumble of gingerbread crumbs. Digging into the bottom, there was a layer of spiced ginger and berries. After mixing it with the ice cream, it tasted more like Christmas and made it better.
I may be back for the snowman flavor before they change flavors as I saw a couple of school boys order that and it looked super cute.
