Americans owe Belgians a big deal for waffles. That said, Belgians were benefited when Americans introduced chocolate to Europe back in 1653 – so I guess they’re tied now!
As you may know, cocoa can’t be grown in Belgium, or Europe as a whole, because there aren’t enough warm days in the region. So what makes Belgian chocolate so “Belgian”? Over 2,000 Belgian chocolatiers import cocoa from Belgian Congo, their African colony, and produce exclusively within the country. Chocolate bars and pralines are invented in Belgium too!

It was a legit heaven.
Rich authentic Belgian chocolate is sprinkled atop the puffy waffle while the warmth made it half melted. It’s dark chocolate so when mixing with strawberries and waffles, the overall taste profile won’t be just sweet, but a burst of different tastes all together.
Strawberries are freshly handpicked by the owner every morning in the market and they are enhanced by their homemade berry sauce. They also pour a little sugar on the base when crafting their waffle. It was beautiful when the 4 textures mingled.
Every bite was a total indulgence – and be careful, it’s addictive!
題外話/補充資料：
All sauce Waffling Beans trickled on their delicacies are homemade by kitchen helmsman. Sweetness isn’t the only focus in their desserts but a complete taste profile. Love their ethos and I hope they can keep it up!
