My husband and I headed to Sembawang Shopping Centre for some late night shopping and was scouting the area for a supper fix when we came across this corner coffeeshop along a row of shophouses along Sembawang Road. It looked pretty busy and the fragrance of prata and briyani in the air was super enticing.I highly recommend the papadum crisp that was fried to perfection. Light and not greasy. The way to eat papadum with a briyani is to crack it into small bits and mix with the rice. The mutton was tender (no gamey smell at all - perfect!) and the gravy was so yummy - the spice, the curry and chilli powder/paste were all done nicely. The basmati rice grains remained separate, definitely not soggy and was full of spices fragrance. And of course the tangy achar was very appetizing as well.If you happen to be in the North or living in the North, you know where to go when you're hungry in the middle of the night. Good news is, this place opens 24-hour, 24/7. continue reading

A generous treat from my boss today. This catering is the first time we try out and it was quite tasty. The buffet spread was quite many variety and the food are quite hot on the display tray. I had their brani rice, fried chickens and the stir fry vegetables. Rice is fragrant but the grain was a bit too hard. The fried vegetables are fresh and crunchy. Seasoning was alright and not too salty. The fried chicken was very crispy and not too oily heard from my colleagues per adult is at $ 12 per pax. continue reading

The prata here is definitely worth trying. There are swamps of people who come here especially during dinner time so be sure to come early! The prata here isnt too oily and tastes very crispy. It is served with curry of your choice and can be topped up. They are have other stuff worth trying out too such as their biryani rice which comes in a generous serving. They also open till late which makes it perfect for late night suppers! continue reading

Everything here is just fantastic. They even just opened up a new air-conditioned dining area for those who can't stand the heat. The teh tarik is just lovely. The tandoori chicken tasty. I recommend the the mee rebus and top it with a plain prata and wsh it down with kopi or teh tarik. For lunch the briyani is just awesome. And for dinner well the dishes are just delicious. Try the all! continue reading
