I had a green tea flavoured one and my grandma had a milk tea flavoured one. The taste of the green tea although it was not the strong bitter kind, but it was not overwhelmingly sweet as well. I felt the texture was nice,a little chewy and gave me something to hold on to. The milk tea flavour was nice as well! Chewy and the milk tea felt really fresh! As you can see my grams enjoys it as well. The staff was friendly, nice music was playing and plus river view, what more can I ask for! continue reading

Attractive and colourful dessert displayed in the transparent fridge, I had a craving for it. I tried the taste of some ice-creams before ordering, the staff dig a little bit in small spoon for me.It would be better if they provided chairs and desks for their customers. Anyway, we found our seats along the river. Somehow, it was very pleasurable to sit down and enjoy the breeze. Many people walked by, it presented different story, well, I like to imagine. Back to Ice-cream, it was silky smoothie. Soft and melt very fast once I put it into my mouth, it tasted a bit bitter and winey scent. Rum and Raisin will always my favourite choice. Single Scoop, $4.30 for mine, with cone or you may opt for $3.80 in cup. continue reading

I'm back to visit my favourite Azabu Sabo Hokkaido Ice Cream! In my opinion, it beats all other ice-cream brands (as yet), and therefore I think I'd visit Azabu everytime I'm at Clarke Quay *grins*.A very Japanese-looking storefront, usually with an average of 2-3 employees. I felt that the queue system should be improved though, because people were trying at the same time and some already know what they want, thus its' quite difficult because we have to wait for the people in front to decide. The Prices.Single Cup: $3.80Double Cup: $5.30Single Cone: $4.30Double Cone: $5.80The flavours change everyday, and I was quite disappointed that there was no 'Milk' flavour this time round. Bought two cups to share with my friends, costing a total of $10.60.Double Cup - Lychee (Left) and Vanilla (Right), $5.80The Lychee was sweet tasting, almost as if I was like drinking the juice of the lychee itself. I love original flavours such as Vanilla! It was a pure and smooth texture, soothing to the tongue.A close-up shot of the ice-cream.Both Lychee and Vanilla are almost the same colour, so it was difficult to tell them apart unless you dig in and taste them!Double Cup - Yuzu and Milk Tea (right), $5.80This is for the tastebuds which crave a cauldron of sourness and bitterness. Oh, I forgot to add, a little dash of sweetness as well. Yuzu is really so sour that I crunch up my nose and felt my cheeks caving in, but my FRIEND is so in love with it. I loved the milk tea flavour though, really tasted like teh tarik. I wonder if having teh tarik ice-cream Roti Prata would taste nice? I will come again, really. You can try the different flavours by asking the servers there, they're really nice and patient people Sadly, there isn't any place to sit except by the river, which was full of cigarette-smoking people. continue reading

Pictured above are Banana Chocolate and Double Chocolate ice cream from this famous shop! As they import the milk directly from Hokkaido, the texture is really smooth and creamy! If "Banana" + "Chocolate" sounds too sweet for you, fret not, because it is not! It's just nice and actually tasted quite light as well! I really love it!Does my friend's Double Chocolate sound very sweet too? Don't worry, it's also very light and not too sweet, unlike other double chocolate-flavoured ice cream in the country. If you have the chance, try all their flavours! continue reading

Managed to grab this ice cream for dessert before they closes. Azabu Sabo has been around The Central, Clarke Quay ever since The Central open it's door I think. Haven't tried this before so I decided to have one. The double flavor ice cream sounds good, so I ordered a chocolate with lychee flavor ice cream. I thought it will be diluted but no, the ice cream is creamy and a little fluffly (to me) It is so rich that I nearly couldn't finish it but... not to waste good food especially ice cream, I managed to gobble out these cold goodie into my stomach. For the quality of it, I will definitely be back again soon for more of their flavors! continue reading
