Introduction
Course by course, bite by bite, immerse yourself in an unparalleled experience with a 10-course dégustation menu as culinary magic materialises before your eyes. The name 'Waku Ghin' is derived from two Japanese words: 'Waku' meaning to 'arise' (like water pouring forth from a hot spring) and 'Ghin' meaning 'silver', Chef Tetsuya's signature colour found throughout the 8,000 square foot space, featuring an intimate bar, three private cocoon rooms and a main dining room. Each private room is helmed by a chef, bringing forward the season’s best produce to the Chef’s Table. continue reading

Waku ghin has really good desserts. Despite not being known specially for their sweets, the desserts are more than competent. The chocolate mousse cake was the best I have ever eaten! There was a layer of soft sponge at the bottom topped with different layers of differing flavours including chocolate mousse and a jelly like layer. I also detected notes of nuttiness within the cake and there were chocolate balls distributed throughout that provided added crunch and texture. continue reading

Waku ghin serve really really good food. I really enjoyed the desserts served there including the petite fours. The best part was the macarons which came in a variety of flavours. Absolutely perfectly made, the pistachio one was the best with a sweet shell complemented by a salted buttercream filling. Also good were the chocolate truffles which melted in my mouth. continue reading
