TCC is one of the rare chains that in my opinion does main courses and desserts well, and good for those coffee lovers as well, although pricing wise might be a little steeper than other cafes. I stopped by TCC for tea time, and their desserts really look appetizing, not only in pictures but when presented. I had the Milky Choc Mousse with Raspberry Coulis, which comprises a chocolate mousse enclosed with raspberry jam; also came with fresh berries. Not bad a combination, as the slight sour taste of the berries complimented the sweet chocolate taste well. continue reading

I have always associated TCC with coffee, but the dessert here is even more worth mentioning. Frozen parfait topped with raspberry and decorated with strawberries. The biscuit is dusted with icing sugar. The dessert is very nicely presented with swirls of berries jam. Its a very refreshing treat, with the sourness of the berries contrasting with sweetness from the parfait. One could easily finish it, and still want more of it. continue reading

I always frequent this TCC branch cause I like the quiet and cosiness of this place. I went with my friend for a good Friday chill out session. I ordered the baby crayfish pasta with wasabi fish roe and tomato cream while she ordered the Mentaiko Spaghetti accompanied with Salmon TatakiThe salmon were seared and dressed on top of the Mentaiko spaghetti with a perfectly big sunny side up. It looks really delicious. I had the chance to try a little of it and it was indeed really tasty. I always like the classic presentation of the food at TCC be it desserts or mains. Overall, service was prompt and we enjoyed our food. continue reading

TCC is a great place to hang out for some light bites and desserts if you are still feeling peckish after dinner or just want to sit down and chat. The setting is cosy and comfortable and the food and drinks are delightful. My friend recommended the Tuna Tataki Salad with delectable slices of quick-seared tuna covered with an aromatic carrot dressing. I love that the tuna is still pink with a hint of smokiness but I'm not a big fan of the carrot which has a slightly overwhelming herb flavor and I feel this overpowers the fresh taste of tuna. This is one of my all time favorite light bites at TCC. The Shroom Bites are small bite-size puff pastry filled with mushroom ragout. When you bite into one, the hot mushroom and gravy mixture will ooze out and fill your mouth with their savory smooth goodness. Paired with the buttery puff pastry which lends a hearty comforting taste to the whole experience. This is a must try for all - so much better when the weather is cold out. This is the Apple Alamode drink which tastes a bit like Apple Pie. It's quite nice - not too sweet with bits of apples floating in it. There is also caramel sauce at the bottom and vanilla ice cream on top. So when stirred together, it's like a Apple Pie drink. I'm not a big fan of apple pies and I find this quite nice. Lastly, we had the Dark Devotion dessert - dark chocolate cake that oozes smooth chocolate lava. It's topped with vanilla ice-cream, berries and a sesame biscuit of sort. Honestly, I've had better chocolate lava cake than this. The cake and chocolate lava is nice but somehow I don't taste the full richness of cocoa when I eat this. Plus I'm not a fan of berries in my dessert and the sesame biscuit is too strong to the point that it disrupt the taste of the cake. continue reading

I went there during Sunday, but it's quite quiet. The ambience is really relaxing and there's not much traffic. The perfect place to relax on a Sunday. Ordered the marble cheese coffee, which was really unique. It first tasted like normal coffee, then the after-taste of the cheese will take over the coffee taste. The baby crayfish pasta is one of my favourite pasta now. They are really generous with the baby crayfish and the wasabi roe. However, they may have sprinkled too much wasabi roe as the taste of the wasabi dominates the whole dish. If you don't like wasabi, do remind the staff to remove the roe for you.The seafood aglio olio is average. Another dish that I like from here is the marble cheesecake. The base of the cheesecake is chocolate. With the cheese, it leaves a long lasting taste. Even though the price is a bit steep, it's a great place to relax on a Sunday afternoon continue reading
