Introduction
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has grown into one of the largest privately-owned, family-run coffee and tea companies in the world. Along the way, The Bean, as it is affectionately known, has become the model for a successful coffee and tea company. The coffee is roasted fresh daily in small batches in a manual European roast style, then packed using state-of-the-art equipment for shipment in the roasting facility and delivered fresh daily to the stores. continue reading

I never quite like coffee bean cakes but since this was the only coffee joint with cakes around the vicinity, I decided to try their other cakes. Cashewnut Chocolate mousse $6.50 - this wasn't sweet and the mousse was soft and smooth with a milkish kind of chocolate taste.Chocolate raspberry $6.30 - the raspberry flavour was slightly sour and sweet the the chocolate was quite sweet too but was slightly neutralized by the sourness of the raspberry. Overall, these 2 cakes are decent but there's nothing special that makes me want to buy them again. continue reading

I am slowly starting to be a fan of Coffee Bean as the food and drinks never once fail me! I tried their lunch set which includes your choice of main and a regular coffee/tea. I had the Smoked Salmon Sandwich and for the drinks I top-up a little to upgrade my regular coffee to a Chai Tea latte. I am happy that they gave quite a generous serving of smoked salmon and I love the side salad especially the dried cranberries and toasted almond flakes in it. I also like the ciabatta bread they used for the sandwich as it is very soft. continue reading

Whenever I'm at Coffee Bean studying or reading, I am always tempted by their breakfast and lunch menu. They looked and sound good Finally the chance came and I went there to have brunch with my mum. I wanted to try the smoked salmon bagel badly but apparently the branch at westmall didn't has this in their menu. Whereas, the branch in Holland V has it. I ordered Brek O day instead and it consisted of toasted bread, lettuce salad, sauages and scrambled eggs. The scrambled eggs were a huge disappoint, they were literally tasteless and I had to put lots of pepper. The pepper they provided weren't even black pepper. In addition, I felt that the scrambled eggs had a texture like pudding. This weren't the scrambled eggs I like. I prefer the scrambled eggs from mcdonald's. The rest of the components were average nothing much to give a big hoo-ha. However, the egg club sandwich was a delicious! Do give it a try continue reading

People always go Coffee Bean for their coffee, but do not neglect their cakes as it is worth a try too. Firstly about their coffee, despite what the shop is named, the standard of the coffee is not up to standard. I ordered a cafe mocha, which is meant to be like latte, thus, it should have a slight layer of milk foam. But the one i had, for some reason, the foam had sink to the middle. Which is quite disappointing. And the cheesecake is much better. Even though the slice is not huge, it is sufficient to be shared among 2 people because of the nature of the cheese. It is just too sickening to be eaten by your own, but the first few mouthfuls are still heavenly. It is a nice time to hang out there with friends, especially since at this point of the year there isnt any students who are studying in the area. continue reading

Was runing some errands nearby my house. So decide to drop by Westmall to do some shopping and to meet a friend of mine, my friend was feeling a bit hungry, so wanted me to join her for some breakfast. I wanted some coffee and so we decided to eat at coffee bean and we decide to share the breakfast as she was on diet and i am not feeling that hungry actually. Anyway, it was my first time having breakfast at coffeebean although i live quite nearby. Its actually quite delicious and sumptuous to have their set for breakfast. Feeling energetic after their coffee and breakfast!!! Nice feeling!!! continue reading
