My favourite Kway Chap stall that is still running. The Kway is smooth and nicely done and not too overly cooked in the flavourful soup. Innards are clean and nicely to the right texture and flavour. Pair your meal with the chilli sauce and it’s complete! I would usually add the peanuts, fishcake and Super soft salted vege with my order. To me, they serve the best Kway Chap! continue reading

See my full reviews & photos at = http://chefquak.com/2015/03/12/cheap-good-3pax-lunch-havelock-food-centre-on-12mar2015/ went with sis & bio to havelock food centre today 12.3.2015 at 11.30am.^^ carpark was full. looked like >50% taxis. i circled almost 1 round. fortunately turnover was real quick! taxis were moving out of lots just as quickly so we managed to park almost immediately. we ordered a S$6 kueh chap & S$1 for 2 large bowls of kueh. also ordered yu mei mei red garoupa fish soup & havelock turtle soup.^^ kueh chap was probably not expensive as it had quite a bit of kongbak (braised belly pork), big intestines & small intestines, and pig skin. the taste was also very good. not sure how to compare, but i guess this was quite a good kueh chap overall. actually i did very good kueh chap myself so this one & others were competent but i guess nothing really standout-ish! continue reading

My favorite kway chap stall, also formerly from the old Zion food centre. I dont usually eat the intestines but my family likes it, and it is very clean and springy. I like the tau pok, tau kwa, egg and the braised meat which is very well braised and fragrant. The kway chap is very nice with the rich and flavourful gravy. It is cheap and yummy! It is a popular stall so go early in case some items get sold out fast. continue reading

The kway chap starts from $2 onwards. It costed me $2.60 for a bowl of big kway and kway chap ingredients which was really cheap for today's pricing standards. The soup was not salty and well seasoned. The intestines were cooked nicely, not rubbery nor soft and a bit springy. It consisted of taupok, half an egg etc too. I'll recommend you to try this if you are looking for a cheap and delicious meal! continue reading

My colleagues and I had lunch at havelock food centre and we decided to try out the kway chap store. The kway chap store here has quite a long queue. We had to wait for around 20 minutes before getting our order. The kway is very thin and even though it is thin, it does not break easily. It is very smooth and it is not too doughy. The soup for the kway is also quite nice as it is slightly herby. As for the ingredients, it is quite fresh as the intestines do not have the stench and it is thoroughly cleaned. Pairing the ingredients with the chili dip makes the taste even better. I would not mind queuing for it again. continue reading
