Jia Le, one of the stall seen selling chinese cuisine and a good selection of choices for customers. However, their manpower were not enough to cater the sunday afternoon lunch crowd that left a handful of customers cancelling their order, leaving madly. In such scenario, I quickly change my order to something already prepared instead of the KL hokkien mee or Yuan Yang Sheng Mee that require some time for preparation.Having a meal in Rasapura was not in my favour as finding seat is a problem and food are costly.Just thought we could grab a fast meal before heading to the Art Science Museum for NatGeo and Mummy exhibitions.Chosen the braised chicken meal with yam rice. There was simply not much expectation from them based on my last few lousy encounters I had from Rasapura. The rice was dry and wasnt served warm. The set includes a plate of braised chicken meat, Tau Gua and braised egg. Overall, I still feel that eating at a hawker centre is much more better.Cost: $8.00 / Set continue reading

The wholesome suckling pig on displayed at the window caught my eye while wondering what to have for dinner at Rasapura Masters, Marina Bay Sands. We decided to order a plate of suckling pig as an appetizer for the evening from none other than Jia Lee Roasted Food Pte Ltd. Founded and managed by Master Chef Charles Tan.Costly though 15 pieces for the price of S$40.00.The thin crispy savory skin of a young pig is delicate with lots of aromatic meat underneath. Served with coriander leaves and hosin sauce. The skill of roasting by hand over open fire of wood and charcoal for the crunchy skin and yet marinating the meat inside to be still tender and fragrant is amazing. A dish that real gourmand goes after. continue reading

This was another choice of us to try from Rasapura and the assorted roasted meat did look very tempting but the price...hmm....scarying steep. So a plate of wanton noodles was the cheapest to settle for, at $6.80. Asked them about something on the menu before the order and they were not helpful at all plus their service was no good, sigh. As expected it will be nice as heard from someone before that this store their roasted meat and their wanton noodle is good. Ok, worth the try. continue reading
