We ordered the Claypot Laksa when we were here. There's quite a lot of people here and may be hard to get a seat at times. The service staff was speedy and prompt delivery upon payment. This is most probably the most fragrant laksa I've come across with the unique "claypot" taste! The soup/gravy/broth was thick and creamy, but not too intimidating. The noodles, fish cake, herbs etc are all balanced and perfect. Highly recommended!!!There is limited carpark lots. It's a little sickening I had to queue at the carpark and queue for this. But eventually close one eye and it'll be all worth it. continue reading

The FoodI ordered the big Claypot Laksa and the fragrant smell was already oozing out from the claypot even before I even taste it. The gravy was thick and very fragrant and the bee hoon has absorbed the goodness of the coconut milk gravy hence making it very tasty. Inside got fresh ingredients like bean sprouts, cockles, shredded chicken, tau pok, fish cake and prawns. I like the way they cooked in claypot as it helps to maintain the temperature hence can enjoy the hot and piping Laksa. I find that the wait was well worth it and it sure was satisfying. The PriceReasonably priced at $5.50 with generous portionOverallThis is one of the best Laksa I have ever tasted hence highly recommended!! continue reading

I think I was very lucky to have chanced upon this stall. I ate their claypot laksa without knowing about their famous title beforehand. Impressed with the food, I did a simple search for their food only after I finished my meal and indeed, this stall is very much recommended by foodies. While some other foodies brought up the issue on the long wait for the food, mine only took about 5 minutes. The food was served bubbling hot; the appetizing appeal made me salivate even before I tasted the food.Claypot LaksaAs you can see, the gravy is thick and rich. I'm aware that this would be unforgiving on my waistline, but all I could think of at that time was that this dish is sure worth the calories and fats consumed. There was sufficient coconut milk, curry flavouring and spiciness in the gravy concoction. I love thick thick curry but one thing that could potentially turn me off is when it becomes cold, because it'd be too "jelat" for me with all the sauce coagulating in a corner of the bowl. I guess the use of claypot in this case was a smart idea; it kept the food bubbling hot for a long time as I ate, which felt like a luxury. The best part was that the ingredients, especially the tao pok, soaked up so much of the awesome thick and rich gravy that the moment i bit into it, all of the tasty gravy splash out inside my mouth. Shiok! continue reading

so i've heard all about it.but i thought i'd just keep hearing about it.it's not near my place at all.far away in the west.and the only business i could think of, was going to queensway or ikea at alexandra.we eventually went to both before we came over for lunch.four bowls. claypots i mean.the claypot kept the gravy piping hot while eating.it was spicy hot and temperature hot.the sauce thick and creamy. the noodles were slippery and chewy.although the serving wasn't very huge, it was definitely filling. continue reading

This bowl of laksa has extra rich gravy which is oh-so-good!! Zhen Shan Mei claypot laksa is definitely the best laksa I have ever eaten in my whole life. I'll prefer this over the famous katong laksa anytime!! They usually have queues when I go but it is worth the wait! This sinful cholesterol-laden bowl of goodness is the bomb! It is quite spicy though, so I don't need to add extra chilli. continue reading
