Sometimes I thought there might be a taste association in food industry, similar to the colour association in the fashion industry. It was a year in the States, when Häagen-Dazs introduced salted caramel ice-cream, Starbucks selling salted caramel drinks, and Wal-Mart picking salted caramel in its store-brand chocolate box. The first perception of this French combination may be "quirky", but how alluring about it is it checks all perfect texture and taste boxes similar to devil chocolate. Well, I'm just talking about salted caramel in general. This cup of salted caramel cappuccino just reminds me the taste and warmness for winters, but of course we can't do the same in here. The syrup prepared on this drink is light, not too sticky, not too sweet (which is nice). A no-no to the cappuccino itself - which is too "milky" as a cap or latte. All of sudden, I desperately wanted a bar of Snickers... I guess it goes well with skim cap with the same chemistry? continue reading
