looking at the menu and its hefty prices, i knew this was a restaurant for tourists who don't know the market prices. the manager also treated us really badly when they knew that we weren't hotel guests. we waited outside for really long and NO ONE tended to us for more than 5 minutes, despite the restaurant being almost empty with only a few hotel guests?we decided to walk in ourselves and even find our own seats, before someone finally came (which was a manager in black suit). ordered eggs benedict — my personal favourite. however, i had never tasted one that was so thick in hollandaise sauce that i felt like yellow phlegm was coming out of my throat and thick dark yellow mucus coming out from my nose (yes, this explains how heaty it was)! looks good, but portion was tiny for $16 (not even comparable to prive's cafe)!the dessert, berry's pancakes, looked really promising. i was really excited to try this... initially with the sauce, it tasted really yummy, but then the second and third bites became really dry and sour. think they just look great for photos and instagram, but nope, won't make the trip back there again. 繼續閱讀

Re!Fill Restaurant recently launched their all-new Weekend Brunch menu, and I could not resist checking out the classic brunch items. The restaurant is a part of Hotel Re!, and hence takes on the hotel's trademark quirky, funky and retro vibe. The walls of the restaurant are plastered in a bright pink, making it a surreal dining experience indeed.Glancing at the Weekend Brunch menu, the BeRe!licious Pancakes caught my eye with the drizzles of chocolate and strawberry sauce. The 3-tiered pancakes are topped with berries, making them tart yet sweet. The buttery pancakes are rich and smooth in texture.Re!Fill Restaurant is indeed a great place to spend a leisurely weekend morning. Have a lovely brunch in an oasis of calm, away from the crowds thronging the main Chinatown belt along Eu Tong Sen Street.  繼續閱讀

I was delighted to be invited to attend Hotel Re! @ Pearl's Hill media brunch launch on 2nd September 2014.I am not new to Hotel Re! as previously I have tried their renowned Abalone Seafood Laksa which is really amazing. Hence, I look forward to try their new brunch which will be launched on 6th September 2014.For those who are new to Hotel Re!, it is really a modern retro themed hotel situated at the base of Pearl's Hill, on Chin Swee Road. Hotel Re! encloses guests in a serene environment and it is just a stone's throw away from attractions like Chinatown, Clark Quay and Orchard Road.Hotel Re! will launch healthy and nutritious brunch food and the new menu was specially crafted by Executive Chef William Ang. Here are the five detectable creations: 1. Classic BreakfastAs the name implies, this is really a classic breakfast for those who like the must have English breakfast items such as hash browns, chicken sausage, baked beans, toasted bread and turkey bacon. I love the turkey bacon the most. It is not salty and it is extremely crispy.2. Salmon BagelIndulge in smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and grilled tomatoes. I love the mesclun salad the most. Don't you think the presentation is very interesting?3. Slipper Lobster CroissantThis has to be the highlight of all the dishes presented. Nothing is short of premium when this delicious croissant is generous filled with a mixed of grilled slipper lobster tossed with celery, chive, tomato in Japanese dressing and tobiko. It is Chef William's best creation in my opinion. For repeat visit, I will order this dish. You must definitely add on the truffle fries! You will keep asking for more as it is really irresistible!4. Egg-citing BenedictI learnt that it took countless weeks of experimenting to perfect this recipe by Chef William. These poached eggs rested on the toasted English muffin base, layered with generous serving of turkey ham or smoked salmon, mushroom and grilled baby tomatoes and mesclun salad will make your breakfast really memorable.5. BeRe!Licious PancakeThe berries and strawberries are fresh and sweet. The pancake is drizzed with chocolate and strawberry sauce. However, you can opt for butter and maple syrup for a healthier choice. Very nice.Hotel Re! will start serving the new brunch on 6th September 2014. The weekend brunch starts from 10am to 2pm. You can treat your loved ones to all five detectable creations at 20% off in September 2014. For reservation, you may call 68278226.I would like to thank Executive Chef William Ang, Marketing Manager Eunice Nicole Lim and Marketing Executive Cordelia Liau for their hospitality during the media brunch. 繼續閱讀

Located within Hotel Re! a local boutique hotel, the restaurant is located next to the check in counters, and was surprisingly small. It looks more like a cafe than a restaurant as the name suggest. There isnt much for a crowd at the restaurant despite being a weekend night, however I did notice that most of them werent even hotel patrons. So what is so great about this restaurant that we can see people travelling up to Outram just to dine here?We ordered a starter and 2 mains and it was a good choice cause we were stuffed full at the end of the meal!Ample amount of smoked salmon atop a well dressed vegetables, this caesar salad is a generous starter to have while waiting for the mains.SGD 13.80If you are in the mood for something a little extravagant, I would recommend the laksa which happpens to be the signature dish of ReFill! It comes in a huge portion with baby abalone, prawns and scallops as accompanying ingredients; and it will definitely fill you right up!The price tag is definitely not the cheapest if compared to Katong Laksa, and the taste is definitely milder if compared to the latter. It would be a good choice for those who wants something less spicy and more rich in coconut flavour.SGD 23.80Crayfish sauce is something which I am hearing for the first time, and it was a sauce that came rich in seafood flavour. The entire dish is definitely well flavoured however it lacks a little wow factor. I wasnt amazed by the taste to see myself shelving out the same amount of money again for it. in addition to that, it also came a little oily, which didn’t tickle my fancy.SGD 22.80***VERDICTThe dishes at Re!Fill are definitely generous enough to fill you up without ordering sides. The tastes are not too bad however there are better alternatives for western food dining for the same price range. It would be a great place to head to if you are there for a staycation, but I wouldnt see myself heading up to ReFill! for any of the dishes in particular, unless I am in the mood for atas laksa.Read more reviews @ RoundTumTums.com 繼續閱讀

They got a nice decoration with pink colour all around, menu spoilt for choice, too much to choose from, be it western or asian delights, but when we order the salmon salad and half chicken set, the salad has too much dressing, overpowering the dish, feel that the dressing must not be put so much, the half chicken set is just normal, fried chicken with not much marinated sauce, generally very disappointed with their food with this price although environment is very romantic and good. 繼續閱讀
