Special Thanks to Colleague who had introduced this place for lunch. Never did i know that there is a hidden gem within the area of a country club. I always have the mindset that anything in the club is only exclusively for members and not the public but this is not the case.Talking about PeraMakan, it excites me as Peranakan Food is not commonly found and even if so it's only the few that we have been visiting.Starters for the Peranakan Cuisine is none other than their Ngoh Hiang. Meat with prawns were rolled and deeply fried. There were 3 rolls and they were all cut into 12 pieces, easiler to paired with the sweet sauce or a saucer filled with chilli, black sauce and Luak Chye.I felt that Buah Keluak makes Peranakan Cuisine outstanding in the sense that I have not come across other cuisine making use of this Indonesian black nut as part of their dishes ingredient. Chicken was braised and soften among the richness of the black nut and Garam Assam Gravy. It might taste on a salty side if you are having just the dish alone without any plain rice. Do note that Steam Rice are served at $1 per head and refillable. For those who love Buah Keluak, each serving only comes with 2 nuts and special spoons were given to retrieve the flesh in the nuts.Braising in yummy tau cheo gravy, the dish was awesome. Pork belly was cooked with dried shitake mushrooms and winter bamboo shoots too. Presentation was dull in colors initially but was brightened up by the used of green chilli as garnishings. The default order that cannot be skip during a Pernakan Cuisine! Simply loves its braised vegetables coupled with dried ingredients in bean sauce. The last to be served will be their red snapper fish head cooked in Nyonya Curry. Curry gravy was very appetizing indeed and makes a perfect pairing to the white rice. Assorted vegetables like egg plant, lady's finger and tomato among the items in the curry. Fish head was relatively fresh and was pleasing to the tastebuds.DessertsThere can never be short of the taste of Gula Melaka here in their Chendol. Our desserts were shared among 5 of us and it was not a bad idea too. With freshly squeeze coconut milk over shaved ice with chendol strips and kidney beans, its all what you can find all in a bowl of chendol.Buboh Cha Cha can be served either hot or cold, depending on your liking. The best thing is that freshly squeezed coconut milk was used and was good with yams, sweetpotatpes cubes that was steamed to its softened form, not forgettging my favourite tapioca jujubes!Desserts for Durians lovers! Serve in a plate of 4. These choux pastry was filled with delicious D24 durian mousse. Taste was good but if they can come in chilled form, it would be perfect.Knowing that Peranakan dishes are never too easy to prepare and requires alot of perparation, they were always priced at a dearer side, that includes dining in PeraMakan. However, I find that the cuisine serve here is rather authentic and was not too commercialized like other places. However for parking, it may cost a bomb and you might want to take note. 繼續閱讀

Aspiration to keep making the Best Nyonya cuisine for its customers, Peramakan reminded me childhood home Nyonya dishes. Coming here for Tea Snacks, I heard its dessert was well-known. Menu was decorated with colourful tiles, their signature logo symbolized the home. Feeling appreciated and spreading the sense of joy, the atmosphere was warm and harmony. Giving a fresh twist on the traditional Nyonya Kueh, they were all pure and without preservatives or food additives. Apom Berkuah adorned with little bit purple colour on top, they were made from fermented Rice Flour and Coconut Juice. A bowl of Durian Pengat was awesome, served with chilled Durian Mousse, steamed Yams and Sweet Potatoes. It was well done with thickly rich broth. Apom Balik was the one I like the most. Wheat flour pancakes with strong fragrance of Pandan Juice and Coconut Milk, it filled up generously with Kaya while flipped into halves. Splendid taste and texture, their food was in great pride of culinary skill. We enjoy our time there, environment, service and food. I will come again for their main course. 繼續閱讀

Peramakan is serves authentic spicy and tasty Peranakan Food. The Assam Fish which is slightly spicy and sour was a special on the menu. The garlic ladies finger was tasty and cooked to perfection. The Nonya Chap Chye which comprises of beancurd skin, black fungus, and cabbage was fantastic, and goes very well with Peramakan's very own Sambal Belechan. The Sambal Petai which comes with prawns and cooked tomatoes, is my family's favourite. However, it is an acquired taste as Petai also known as the smelly bean, has a strong after taste. However, it is very healthy and good for detoxification. Lastly, the Nonya Pork Ribs is not spicy and highly recommended. Also , the desserts like durain puff, bubor terrigu ,and appom durian at Peramakan are awesome! I strongly recommend Peramakan if you are looking for authentic Peranakan food, but be sure to make a reservation before hand if you are planning to go there for dinner, as they tend to be fully booked at night. 繼續閱讀

Coming from a Peranakan family, as and when we go to a Peranakan restaurant, you can be sure that whenever my family heads out to have Peranakan food at any eatery, the food will be scrutinised and compared to what we have at home. Of course home-cooked meals are the best, but the fare t Pera-Makan comes pretty close! We ordered the Ayam Buah Keluak, Itek Siow, Chap Chye, Ayam Kepiting, Hee piow soup. Pricey but good. 繼續閱讀

Eating here made us feel oddly out of place. It was a saturday lunch date with some that were already at the club swimming laps and playing tennis. The others, like yours truly, just rolled out of bed and joined them at the club for lunch. And where else but at peramakan? So why out of place? We were the only table of 8 under 30s. Save for the little kids, that was.So we ordered whatever we wanted from the menu and we definitely over ordered. The babi pongteh was goood. The ayam buah keluak with extra nuts for those who wanted more.nonya chap chye was a mainstay that was simple yet delicious.cumi goreng was chewy and delightfully fresh.the order of bakwan kepiting though, was not a wise choice at all. The itek tim was a lot better. But there was just one order of it at our table. haha. And otah of course. I chose that.But... aside from the fact that there were ample fish meat pieces in the otah, the whole otah was just too dry and i'd rather have ordered something else altogether 繼續閱讀
