And into Swensen "Rolling in the deep" menu.Served with sides like mesclun salad and fries, the Loster Roll was toasted perfectly till pillow soft lending its butter fragrance, together with its shiny crust it was an unforgettable experience I had in Swensen so far. The lobster meat came in generous chunks making up one lobster and was succulent. It was completed with a final touch of honey lime. Yummy! With breaded chicken added a rough texture to the juicy marinated chicken cutlet, drizzled with meuniere sauce, served with U.S fries and coleslaw. Simply love its portion (right thickness) and its crispiness yet not too greasy taste!No meal in swensen will ever be completed without having a dessert! With christmast around the corner, besides having new dishes like lobster, the ice cream menu has also been altered to the festive mood. Santa's favourite is make up of delicious chunks of christmas pudding and yummy raisin ice cream accompanied with strawberry toppings as well as sprinkle of sliced almonds.

Swensen's has been around for years, with many outlets around Singapore. What usually comes to mind when one mentions the name of this All-American chain restaurant here, ice cream? i don't know about you, but since young I have always enjoyed their delicious Fish & Chips with the firm dory flesh that doesnt fall apart at knifepoint, or the absolutely scrumptious Crayfish Pasta.Today, however, I would like to mention my absolute favorite here - the Salmon and Mushroom Baked Rice (SGD$12.90).So how this dish is formed is, a delicious brown mushroom sauce and cheese are slathered generously over over an eye-shaped bowl of egg-mushroom fried rice. Then it is set to bake, along with the salmon. It may be a simple dish, but the flavor is absolute.The rice is not just plain rice, but its fried with egg, button mushroom and I believe there's garlic as well. The tasty brown sauce is thick, and comes with generous slivers of shiitake mushrooms, thus adding bounce to the entire dish. The smoked salmon itself is saccharine in its own sea-worthiness, and topped with melted cheese, is completely wholesome.Of course, there are many who might prefer the Chicken Baked Ruce or Curry Chicken Baked Rice, as both are delicious too. Visited Swensen's again! My buddy decide that he'll treat this time so I went ahead and ordered a good looking Juicy Game Hen with Homemade BBQ Sauce ($16.90), which was more than amazing! The succulent young game hen was fried and roasted for a perfectly golden brown skin, with tender juicy flesh enough to easily be separately from the bone! The BBQ sauce was very flavourful as well, such that there's I dipped the fries with those instead of my usual ketchup. My buddy ordered another attractive dish, the Crispy Cornflake Chicken ($15.50). Some tender succulent moist boneless chicken is hiding behind the crispy coat of crunchy golden cornflakes. Every bite was full of flavour and texture, simply irresistible! We also got ourselves The Rock ($9.50) to share! It comes with 3 signature flavours of hazelnut, cookies & cream and rocky road, garnished beautifully with marshmallow sauce, hot caramel, cocoa pops and wafers. Dry ice was beneath the dish that also created the smoky-icy look when it was served, it was very interesting! Overall, I enjoyed myself to the fullest at this outlet whereby I received friendly service along with prompt arrival of food. Portion and quality of food matches their prices as well.

Lamb chop 18.50: The lamb chop eat is too tough and salty. The standard has dropped greatly. The meat is also quite dry and it used to be juicy but now it has changed. The mash potato is still acceptable and is a bit moist. The vegetable is a bit undercooked.Pesto salmon sauce 16.90: The salmon is quite dry. It feels like it is overgrilled or the quality is not fresh enough as it is a bit hard. The mushroom sauce that comes separate is rather thick and it is not hot. At least it gave the salmon added taste.

I really love Swensen's cakes because I love ice-cream and they sell awesome ice-cream cakes! I got a chocolate ice-cream cake for a birthday occasion and I loved it! It was quite hard to slice the cake though (ice-cream seemed to be quite frozen). Nevertheless, everyone loved the cake. If I am not wrong, price is around $40+ which I think it is quite reasonable, considering their brand and quality.
