A lazy Sunday afternoon prompted us to explore somewhere new and we decided to head over to Jalan Bedar for lunch before doing a little cafe hopping. Initial plan was Lavender food court, but seeing there was no crowd at the popular Cheng Mun Chee Kee, we decided to pop over there instead!Packed with all sorts of innards, lean meat, meatballs, tofu and salted vegetables, this is the signature dish of the shop! It is a good bowl of soup without the porky taste and smell, guaranteeing it of freshness. The only thing I would pick at is that it is lacking in the sour factor so I was a little bit disappointed. When pair with the vinegar pork trotters, the taste also appears to be muted.SGD 5.50We decided to order this after a steaming hot bowl passed us and the strong fragrance had our eyes and nose trailing after it! If you love your vinegar to be super sour, then this will be for you!I am not a fan for ginger smell and I am glad that the scent of ginger was delicate and subtle rather than intrusive. The portions as you can see are generously packed full of soft meat plus a whole egg!SGD 5.50Read more reviews @ RoundTumTums.com

Another dish worth mentioning and I never fail to order is their Pig's Trotters in Vinegar. It brings back fond memories of my grandmother’s specialty dish. There is a well-balanced taste between the sweetness and sourness of broth. The Pig's Trotters are cooked perfectly, QQ skin and tender meat. If you are health conscious, you may also specify a preference for leaner meat for the Pig's Trotters. They are usually accommodating.

This Cheng Mun Chee Kee Pig Organ Soup has since expanded to 2 units with a more spacious seating just next door shop house. Ordered the usual large mixed organ soup, groundnuts and a plate of luo han vegetables. Total bill adds up to $15. Love the luohan vegetable which is flavoured with the fermented beancurd i think, tasting just like the CNY vegetarian dish we used to eat on Chu Yi. I ordered the $6 soup version with extra meatballs. Also like the fact soup is free flow here, you can queue up at the side of the stall with your bowl. Tip is also to add dark soy sauce to the chilli. I couldn't ask for more ,fresh ingredients, great chilli and tasty meatballs.

Ordered this Pig Organ Soup and Rice at $4 and $0.50 respectively at Cheng Mun Chee Kee Pig Organ Soup eatery. There are $4, $5 and $6 of Pig Organ Soup to choose from, hence, people may actually order the size of the Pig Organ Soup based on their appetite. There were Pork Balls, Pig Livers, Pig Intestines and Lean Meat in the Pig Organ Organ Soup. I like the Lean Meat the most as it was soft and tender, softer than what I have expected, it tasted well with salty dark brown sauce and rice. The soup was light and had a mild taste of the saltiness coming from the Salty Vegetables. I like the taste of the soup as it was refreshing and tasty. I do not have to worry about finishing the soup as I can always refill the soup unlimitedly for free. The place is pretty similar to a shop house and their service were pretty good as they will bring over the food to me after ordering.
