We came here during the Restaurant Week, so it was $35++ per pax. Just by looking at the menu alone, we were already in anticipation. What's more, we were getting a complimentary entree on top of the 3 course dinner! 赚到咯! ^_^The complimentary entree was a simple dish of mixed mushroom on greens. If not for the greens, the yakiniku dressing would seem pretty heavy for an entree. Instead, the dressing served as a sweet sauce for the salad. A sweet start indeed. The starter should appeal to most seafood lovers ~ assortment of scallop and soft shell crab. I was delighted with the generous serving of scallop with grilled cheese. On the other hand, though I couldn't figure out the the meat portion of the soft shell crab, it was super crispy. Both hubby & I chose the same main and we loved it! The cod fish was flavorful but a tad saltish on its own. However, if you eat it together with the portobello mushroom / spinach, which I think were intentionally left unseasoned, it was a perfect match. To view pictures & read more, visit http://fun-hideout.blogspot.sg/2012/10/resturant-week-brochester.html 繼續閱讀

This refreshing cocktail drink was introduced to our family at one of my younger brother birthday bash. The drink comprising of thinly sliced Kyuri (Japanese cucumber), mint leaves, apple juice and syrup. The first few glasses of B ‘fresh was quite sweet, we have requested less syrup to be added to the drink. Subsequently, most of the guests at the party started asking for the same drink. The mint leaves dominates the overall flavor of this signature drink. Mint stimulates senses and aid digestion. Goes well with the hors d’oeuvre served that night.Price @ S$16.00 per glass for this non alcoholic drink. 繼續閱讀

See other reviews at http://thehungrybunnie.blogspot.comThe food here is Japanese-French fusion. The colonial black-and-white bungalow setting is gorgeous, and we liked it. In all, the meal was good, and in fact, more than decent, but there was just something lacking. Comparing it to heavyweights such as Ember, Bistro Soori (but only for dinners) and Buko Nero, which serve up similar fusion cuisine, I've found that B@Rochester is just lacking in that extra spark, that extra something that makes the meal pop. The finishing of the dishes just lacked that particular finesse and masterful execution. That said, we genuinely liked the service, the chef and head waiter were very down-to-earth, almost homey, and chatted us up like old friends 繼續閱讀

This is the first time I am trying Japanese fusion food. The restaurant has an intimate setting. The main course I try is the don, which is a mix of beef, shirataki, carrot and potato. The don came served in a very elegant (and big) serving plate, so different from the big bowls I am used to. The dish has simple ingredients but there is flavour in every bite. Everything comes together very nicely and each bite is delicious. 繼續閱讀
