I always love Paradise's food and Xiao Long Bao, more than DTF and CJ, since I first tried in Hong Kong Lee Theatre.Today, we were offered a table near the Fountain and next to the queue. AC not strong enough, disturbance from queue was annoying.  The staff was kind but looked helpless (or did not care!?) to our dissatisfaction.  Maybe the seating and staff altitude gave us some discount to the mood, we felt all the food quality was not as good as we were expecting.  Definitely will not come back for this same branch again (especially there was a lot lot of choices in Suntec City).   繼續閱讀

The place was not packed when we arrived for dinner. Service was efficient. We ordered a few dishes to share amongst our party of 5.First up was a clear broth pork rib soup with cabbage, which was good. Next, we had a side of fried fish skin, which was by far my favourite.Thereafter, we ordered a serving of sweet and sour pork, which was average.Lastly, we had a plate of fried rice. Overall, it was a good meal. I will be back. 繼續閱讀

For more details, please visit http://foodesteem.blogspot.sg/2013/12/paradise-inn.htmlHot Plate Tofu with Cai Xin and Minced Pork ($10.90). Basically a simple dish of fried tofu, having soft on the inside, and sauce of cai xin and minced pork over the tofu. Of course, with a layer of egg at the base. Similar to our 铁板豆腐, Hotplate Tofu, in most 煮炒 stalls. I love it to go with my rice!Coffee Pork Ribs ($12.90). Coffee taste is not strong, suitable for light coffee-goers. Suace is thick, and blends well with the ribs! It has been licked clean by me Steamed Grouper with Tofu in Supreme Soya Sauce ($18.90). Fish is not fresh at all, but well steamed and soya sauce taste is just nice. Personally, I would prefer fried sliced fish with black bean paste, which is not available that day For more details, please visit http://foodesteem.blogspot.sg/2013/12/paradise-inn.html 繼續閱讀

My hubby prefers eating chinese food , so we went to Paradise Inn at Suntec City today to have our lunch there. We ordered four dishes: toufu, spicy beef slices, spicy beef stomach and spinach cook in three types of eggs. The toufu was very soft, the sauce had some vegetables in it which added some crunch to this dish. The spicy beef slices were topped with fried chopped garlic which gave this dish a special aroma .We felt that the beef stomach was too spicy and salty. The spinach was cooked in very thick stock with three types of eggs, tasted good but still cannot surpass the one that I had tasted at another restaurant. This restaurant charges $0.30 for a cup of plain water. As both of us were very thirsty, we ordered a glass of mint lychee , a pot of mixed tea and two glasses of ice water. This meal totalled up to $61. We were given a voucher to be used for the next visit to have their double boiled soup at $8.80 instead of the usual price of $14 ( with minimum spending of $45), well, don't feel like a good deal to me.I have given this restaurant two stars for their cleanliness because I found my chair and the menu had small pieces of food when we were seated. 繼續閱讀

See more reviews at http://thehungrybunnie.blogspot.comParadise Inn recently rolled out very value-for-money set meals, where the daily soup, 3 mains, dessert and drinks are priced at only $38.80 for 2 to 3 persons. There are also a variety of set meals for up to 10 diners. The restaurant consequently seems a lot more occupied ever since they started offering this promotion. We had:1) 'Hua Tiao' Drunken Chicken ($8): makes for a nice appetizer with its refreshingly chilled temperatures and clear, simple flavours of the Chinese wine seasoning the poached chicken thigh. Too bad the chicken wasn't moist or tender enough2) Braised Homemade Tofu in Claypot ($10.90) with golden enoki mushroom and minced meat: best thing about this is the silkiness of the plain beancurd. That said, this was an alright dish3) Deep Fried Shishamo ($10): Unfortunately, this was battered too much and doused in way too much salad sauce4) Imperial Pork Ribs ($10.90) were pretty commendable, moist and tender and coated lightly with a sweetish sticky oyster-sauce and tomato based sauce5) Sauteed Leather Jacket Fish ($14.90) in black bean sauce: Hated the coriander added to this, which totally spoiled it for us. Even the liberal sprinkling of chili padi couldn't musk the taste of the awful herb. Or that the fish had muddy overtones and was overcooked6) Double Boiled Pig Stomach Soup ($14.90 per pot) with spare ribs and white pepper: my favourite for its stomach-warming, peppery tones and just pure comfort factor. 繼續閱讀
