Starbucks doesn't have the best food around, but the lovely ambience and the fantastic coffee make up for the average food. I visited Starbucks to have breakfast on a weekend morning and loved the experience. The ambience is relaxed and the smell of coffee is everywhere. The chocolate croissant I had was not spectacular but pretty good, with a nice flaky crumb and good chocolate. The dark mocha frappe was also amazing! Try it if you are there.

Mocha Cookie Crumble - $7.40A summer beverage packed full of chocolaty goodness, the Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino is thick with mocha sauce, vanilla-flavoured syrup and chocolate cookie chips blended into a delightful frozen mix. The Rochester store has a toilet upstairs on the second level, but there are absolutely no signs to tell us where is the toilet, so just try every door that you see. I was rather upset with the barista who served me, who kept looking at the entrance door for his two lady-friends to come in, so I had to repeat my orders three times as he was rather distracted. He only properly 'understood' my order after his friends came in and he smiled.. It's quite annoying that time.

This cup is Dark Mocha in Venti Size which is the biggest of all sizes. It tasted great when the environment is filled with big lushy green trees. It is the biggest Starbucks outlet that i have ever seen in Singapore. It is a 2-storey and is painted in black and white. It seems like there is history in this outlet and if only they do have live band at night during some nights, that will be wonderful. My favourite place.

I initially thought this place would be rather ulu, built on an isolated hill surrounded by lush greenery and trees, but it really isn't that difficult to locate this place. It's near the new Rochester mall, a stone throw away from Buona Vista MRT. The black and white bungalow which houses this flagship Starbucks outlet is spectacular, and it shares the place with other neighbouring restaurants also housed in similar bungalows. This is a fantastic place to chill out, the decor retains the white finishings of the house, with the liberal use of wood and outdoor spaces.I had a nice cool cup of mocha frappuccino and I can't help admiring my surroundings. It's a great place to while away your afternoons, coffee in hand =)
